Review - Noise and the Performer
Percy Harper's latest night of sound structures was a thrill to watch. The finale consisted of Harper playing a snare drum, taking the tempo from his own heartbeat. As the tempo of his heartbeat increased he would play with a greater intensity which would in turn excite his heart further. Harper's strongest work asks who we are by highlighting our primitive assets and 'Noise and the Perfromer' did just that.
