Present Arms

Charles Ranchero, rumoured to have at one point been thrown out of the Mid-Movement Chorus for inappropriate outbursts, is performing at Hill House on Saturday the 6th of June. His latest piece is an arrangement for a musket quintet. The muskets will fire volleys at one of Ranchero's latent sound structures. The piece is another venture into the play between sounds and smells for Ranchero and promises to be very exciting indeed.

If rocks could talk...

Andrew Beswick of the HHC has a new exhibition opening at the HHC Honestly gallery. Beswick has arranged for a prominent geologist and renowned linguist to team up and tell us what the earth is trying to say. Measuring the seismic vibrations in different parts of the world and comparing them to different forms of human and animal communication they have come up with some interesting conclusions.
